Popular Science: How to Win the Future
How to win the future.
Along with running the free world, President Barack Obama has spent the past seven years guiding U.S. science and technology policy. The initiatives and goals he puts in place—in clean energy, space, medicine, education, nanotechnology, and more—help direct research, which in turn directs the future. This long-form feature was designed for Popular Science as part of their enhanced features initiative.
The feature came about as an extension of a printed piece that Popular Science did with the former president. They requested to expand the piece to the digital platform. I wanted this feature to be straightforward and not add any unnecessary noise. The focus was on the interview, highlighted by some imagery of the president. To add to the challenge, the White House needed to approve the piece before launch.
The deliverables were created with Sketch, Abode Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Prototyped in InVision.
