Field & Stream: Kayaking Dirty

East Matagorda Island is a 23-mile-long barrier beach on the Texas Gulf coast. Hot, humid, and undeveloped, it’s the kind of place where a $10 beach permit and a 4-wheel drive are all it takes to find open spaces, few rules, and as many fish as you’re good enough to catch. Kayaking Dirty is a long-form feature designed for Field and Stream’s enhanced features initiative, sponsored by Yamaha.

This feature is jam-packed with custom illustrations, a gallery slider, full-bleed parallax imagery and informative sidebars to engage the visitor. The layout is fully responsive as well.

The deliverables were created with Sketch, Abode Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Prototyped in InVision.
